Tank – Water Mixing
Tank-water mixing can eliminate thermal stratification and improve water quality by maintaining a homogeneous mixture inside the tank. It is also less costly than passive systems.
This study assessed the environmental impact of three options to enhance tank water mixing: mechanical mixers, multiple inlets, and internal pipe sprinklers.
The tank offers a wide range of mixing products including a complete line of water-mixing equipment. Our mixers are used to mix liquids, solids, or immiscible fluids in a wide variety of applications, such as liquid blending, dissolution, emulsification, and washing/leaching.
The TN Series is a highly versatile and cost-effective system for batch mixing tank capacity from 1m3 to 2,000m3. It can be operated as a fully pneumatic or electro-pneumatic unit that can mix up to ten (10) tanks in one area grouping simultaneously.
TN Series features a touch screen that allows the user to select a common mixing parameter setting for all desired tank applications in the same grouping. This allows for easy and quick application of mixing.
TN Series also has the ability to be powered by a standard electric or single-phase AC power source. This allows for easy deployment in all types of tank builds, from underground to elevated, and any tank size.
The GS series of tanks stand out in the crowd with their large capacity and state-of-the-art features. The GS line also includes the more traditional round, square, and rectangular designs in a variety of sizes and colors. The GS model is a great choice for chemical storage environments that demand high service quality while keeping costs down and tank availability up. It’s no wonder the GS models are a popular option for the pros!
The GS models are powered by the Pulsair ETM controller which allows for precision tank mixing that is easy to read and control. The best part? a nifty programmable touchscreen interface that makes data entry fun and painless. The ETM controller has a number of features like an integrated alarm system and automatic startup and shutdown functions. The GS model is an excellent candidate for a mobile installation allowing for more hands-on management and less downtime at your facility or job site.
Getting ingredients to mix well in the tank starts with the right amount of product, in the right order, and with enough water. When ingredients are mixed out of order, at the wrong rate, or with too little water, they can clump and gel instead of staying dissolved in solution, reducing performance and causing costly cleanup from clogged equipment.
When stratification, low disinfectant, inconsistency in test sample results, and other common potable tank problems arise, active mixing systems provide your municipal water system with a cost-effective, reliable, and efficient way to resolve them. They keep water circulating inside the tank continuously 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, regardless of the water volume in the tank, to eliminate stagnation and maintain consistent, high-quality potable water for your residents.
The SM Series is a floor-to-surface mixing solution that provides complete top to bottom mixing in any potable water tank. It’s designed to be installed without draining the tank and can be removed easily for tank inspections and ongoing maintenance.
Tankproinc’s SMX Series of water mixing systems delivers the power, versatility, and efficiency that industrial applications require. Suitable for blending liquids and suspending or dissolving solids, these units are ideal for a variety of industries, including paints, dyes and polymers, pharmaceuticals, textile sizes, and many more.
The SMX is powered by a single-phase, direct-drive motor and features a 3-inch tri-clamp flange and shaft coupler. It is NSF/ANSI 61 certified and comes with a three-year warranty.
Its unique self-install design allows it to be lowered through the tank hatch and utilizes a vortex flow pattern that is three times more powerful than sheet flow mixers. This enables it to eliminate thermal stratification, reduce residual loss, lower disinfection byproducts, and prevent ice formation.
